, the Best Leisure Hotel in the British Isles, near Broadway, dates back to the thirteenth century and is set in glorious grounds featuring immaculate gardens with running stream, small waterfalls, croquet lawns and tennis courts.
The ancient valley in which Buckland Manor now stands was first mentioned in around 600 AD, when the land was owned by the Abbey of Gloucester. It was later recorded in the Domesday Book. Buckland Manor overlooks the archetypal Cotswolds village of Buckland, a smaller version of nearby Broadway but without the hordes of visitors.
Above all, the Buckland Manor provides peace and tranquillity, combined with international standards of comfort, that the discerning guest has a right to expect.
The bedrooms at Buckland Manor are ample, cosy and comfortable. Rich fabrics, soft sofas, four poster beds, antique furnishings, generous bathrooms with fluffy towels and warm bath robes all conspire to create a real feeling of luxurious home from home.
But that's not all - gaze through the stone mullioned windows and the sweeping views over the idyllic gardens and lush Cotswold landscape beyond will truly take your breath away. All bedrooms also now have internet access.

Featured Cotswolds Michelin Star Restaurant
Restaurant 5 North Street
is a small family run Michelin starred
restaurant set in the ancient Cotswold town of Winchcombe
The restaurant is owned and run by chef proprietor Marcus (Gus) Ashenford and his wife Kate. The ambience of their tiny restaurant with just 28 covers is cosily rustic and warm hearted with its half timbered exterior, beamed ceilings, rustic walls and dark highly polished tables.
The cooking at North Street brings together the elements of traditional British cooking with the more sophisticated ingredients and techniques of classic French cuisine
Winchcombe is perfectly located for sourcing ingredients locally being situated between the Cotswold Hills for lamb, beef, pork and game and the Vale of Evesham for fruit and vegetables and Gus and Kate take full advantage of this rich abundance on their doorstep. Familiarity with suppliers they had worked with for many years was an important reason for Kate and Gus choosing to locate at 5 North Street. Visit Restaurant 5 North Street - Winchcombe Cotswolds

is a range of hand made cheeses made at Church Farm, in the Gloucestershire village of Leonard Stanley, using milk from our own herd of cows and one other local farm. All our cheeses are made with pasteurized milk and are suitable for vegetarians.
The “Cheese Team” consists of myself, Liz Godsell, I have always loved cheese but since starting the cheese business my love has become a passion. I am Master Cheesemaker and love talking about cheese (and cows). My husband, Bryan, pasteurizes the milk, helps make it, sell it and deliver it (and is very good at cooking with it!).
Lorna Mankee, joined us 6 years ago to get fit after having her children and is now very fit and Assistant Cheesemaker. Helena Parks has been with us for 5 months and is our flavours expert. We dabble in putting herbs and spices in some cheese to add interest at Farmers Market. Rory Gaunt is an enthusiastic foodie who helps on cheese making day at the busy part of salting and milling.
